At ANUKA, we lovingly handcraft ethical engagement rings, re-model heirloom pieces and bring jewellery back to life. Whether you have inherited jewellery, fancy updating your own or are looking to create a new piece, we are happy to help.
Perhaps you’re looking to create a bespoke engagement ring, bespoke wedding rings or another piece of unique jewellery. Whatever it may be, the journey begins with you.
Every bespoke journey starts with an idea and that idea comes from you.
We need some direction in order to make your vision come to life. Even if that idea isn't fully formed, it's that spark of inspiration that makes the perfect starting point for crafting a piece of bespoke jewellery.
To make sure you approach your bespoke jewellery consultation with everything you need, here are our top tips to get you prepared.
1. What Styles Do You Like?
Whether it’s a mood board you’ve created or a vision you have in mind, understanding your sense of style before the consultation is important.
So, when your jeweller asks what styles you like, it’s a good idea to present them with some examples of what you’re looking for. This could be a Pinterest board, some cuttings from a magazine or even some sketches of your own.
2. What Is Your Budget?
If you have a budget in mind, let your jeweller know so they can understand how best to meet your vision.
Not sure of your price range yet? Do your research and approach the consultation with some questions in mind to better understand what you can create within your budget,
3. What Piece Of Jewellery Are You Looking For?
Are you looking for a bespoke ring, earrings, necklace or something else? Would you like something remodelled, updated or are you starting from scratch? These are the questions you’ll be asked, so come prepared.
4. Do You Have A Preference Of Stones Or Metals?
Have you got a certain stone or type of metal that you’d like to incorporate in your bespoke piece? Would you prefer silver or gold? Diamonds or coloured gemstones?
This decision is really important as the budget can fluctuate depending on the types of stone or metals you use and overall weight of the piece.
At ANUKA, we're committed to sustainability and strong ethics, meaning that the materials we use are carefully chosen to ensure they're eco-friendly with every consideration taken to the people at each stage of the process, from the gold miners to the gemstone cutter and our friendly U.K. based manufacturing partners.
Whether you're looking for silver or gold, we'll discuss the differences and benefits of each material and how these sustainably sourced precious metals can make your bespoke jewellery dreams a reality.
5. Leave Plenty Of Time
Creating a bespoke piece of jewellery is a creative process and it takes time to develop your vision and turn your ideas into a reality. So if you have a deadline, make sure to share this with your jeweller to ensure everything is completed in time.
At ANUKA we work on an 8-10 week turn around. Find out more about our bespoke jewellery process here.
