Jewellery Remodelling & Redesign Services
FAQs
Jewellery remodelling is the process of transforming existing jewellery into a new piece. Existing stones and precious metals can often be reused, allowing sentimental jewellery to be worn again.
Absolutely. We frequently remodel engagement rings and wedding rings, reusing existing diamonds and gemstones within a completely new design.
In most cases, yes. We regularly redesign inherited jewellery, including rings, necklaces, earrings and antique pieces, creating contemporary jewellery while preserving sentimental value. We work with precious metals like gold and platinum as these can be melted down and reused and gemstones such as diamonds and sapphires, can be reset.
We will always advise you on whether the jewellery you have will be worth more redesigned or kept in its current form.
If you want to find out if your pieces can be reimagined into something new,we'd be happy to help so please do get in touch or pop by our showroom.
Yes. While our showroom is based in Tarporley, Cheshire, we work with clients throughout the UK.
If you are unable to come into the showroom, we are able to have a video or phone call to start the process.
Remodelling your jewellery, with the right design will inevitably add more value. We always aim to recreate pieces that won't need to be redesigned again, creating true modern day heirlooms.
If you come to us with a piece that we feel will be more valuable in its current state, we will communicate this with you.
We offer an optional valuation service once your piece is complete and can factor this in at the start of the process if you wish.
In many cases, yes. Existing precious metals can often be recycled or repurposed as part of the redesign process.
We are often able to re-alloy gold if you have a mixture of carats. The design options are determined by several factors such as, the amount of precious metal, the carat of gold and the types of stones you have.
Not at all. if anything, remodelling sentimental jewellery often makes it more meaningful. You’re taking something with history and turning it into something you’ll wear and enjoy every day. We can keep key elements, like the original stone or certain design details, so the story stays very much intact.
Re designing and remodelling jewellery requires a full bespoke process, entailing expert knowledge and advice to custom design, skilled craftsmanship, and quite often additional materials. This process is a worthy one to create and preserve the jewellery you have and redesigning it to be enjoyed daily.
Often reusing gold or stones can offset some of the cost. We also accept additional or remaining precious metal as store credit to go towards the final balance.
Below is a starting price guide to our remodelling service. From design to completion:
Heirloom ring re-model: From £1850*
Pendant and Earring re-model: From £1000*
*This will vary depending on complexity of design and if additional precious stones or metal are required
More than most people expect. We will assess what pieces you have and see what can be achieved.
We are often able to re-alloy gold if you have a mixture of carats. The design options are determined by several factors such as, the amount of precious metal, the carat of gold and the types of stones you have.
We can modernise inherited jewellery, turn a ring into a pendant, combine several items into one design, or even create multiple pieces from one heirloom. It’s a collaborative process, we’ll guide you, but it starts with how you want the piece to look and feel.
We can work with most precious stones, and have worked with pearls, opals, rubies, emeralds, sapphire and diamonds.
Harder stones like diamonds and sapphires are typically more durable, making them ideal for resetting.
In some cases we won't know the full state of the stones until we remove them from their settings and clean them. We can then assess whether they need a little attention before reworking into a new piece.
Some gemstones can be more delicate and therefore may need extra care which is where the right design is so important.
We will always assess your precious stones and be completely transparent with you, communicating as to whether they are right for re modelling.
Typical timelines range from 6-12 weeks, depending on complexity.
We are happy to work with deadlines but will need this communicated with us at the start so we can factor this into our workshop time.
While we can take inspiration from styles you may have, we will not directly copy any designs taken from another designer and will always create bespoke designs for you in our signature ANUKA style.

By reusing inherited diamonds, gemstones and precious metals, jewellery remodelling offers an environmentally conscious alternative to purchasing new jewellery. This approach not only preserves the story behind your pieces but also supports a more circular approach to fine jewellery.
Many clients come to us with jewellery that is broken, outdated or no longer worn. Through thoughtful redesign, these treasured materials can become rings, necklaces, earrings or bracelets designed for everyday wear.
