ETHICS
Clean designs with a clean ethos: sustainable jewellery that empowers and enriches lives, from the artisanal mines to the wearer.
B Corp
ANUKA is a Certified B Corp business with an impressive score of 108.3 (to put that into context, most industry scores tend to land within the 80’s, 80 being the minimum requirement for certification. We are massively proud of this!)
Being a Certified B Corporation business is proof that we are legally and morally committed to prioritising our responsibility to the environment and society.
What sets B Corp apart from other sustainability certifications is the accountability that comes with it. As a B Corp Certified business, you are continually re-assessed and required to pass the recertification process every 3 years.
It is far from a token certification, it is a commitment. It is legal accountability every step of the way. It’s about using business as a force for good.
Transparency
We are incredibly proud to say that we are the first jewellery label to work with tech company Provenance, incorporating their blockchain technology into our website and brand.
To put it simply, partnering with Provenance allows for complete transparency in our process, letting you know exactly how your jewellery is made.
It is third party verified, meaning all the companies we work with also endorse our claims. From Fairmined, to our casting house, and the recycled packaging we use, each and every process is presented for you to see.
We don’t claim to be perfect, but we’re making every effort to do things the right way, inviting you in on our journey for complete transparency of our process.
1% For The Planet
Giving back and limiting our impact has been an important part of ANUKA from the very start, and I am pleased to say that from April 2021 we have joined together with 1% For The Planet and are committed to giving 1% of our annual revenue back to the planet.
This won’t be a one time donation; this will be a continuous commitment of all our sales, forever.
Working with raw precious materials and mined metals, as a jeweller I am making a living from the resources I take from the earth and so, in return, it is inherent that I do my bit to protect these resources.
Within our studio we are conscious of the materials that enter the workshop and effectively recycle wherever we can, including paper, plastic, glass and metal.
Our Products
It is important to have that fine balance between limiting environmental impact through the use of 100% recycled silver and also supporting the livelihoods of those who are reliant on the mining sector by making with Fairmined gold.
