Behind The Collection
Our collection, is in collaboration with Patrick McDowell’s Spring/Summer 25 collection, 'Portraits of a Painter'.
McDowell has celebrated Philpot’s creative vision, but also the two contrasting lives Glyn experienced; one of society and status and one of queer identity and true expression
This collection focuses around flowers, which played a significant role within Philpot’s life and his art.Inspired by the work of British painter and sculptor Glyn Philpot, known for his evocative portraits of actors, dancers, poets, lovers, and friends, this collection brings his legacy to life.
Our Design Journey
Each piece was meticulously hand-carved in wax to capture the painterly textures and delicate petal forms that reflect Glyn Philpot’s work. These designs were then cast into 100% recycled silver, while the adornments on the garments were crafted from 100% recycled bronze and plated in Fairmined silver.
This process ensures that every piece not only honours Philpot's legacy but also upholds our commitment to sustainability.
Final Touches
Alongside the wearable collection the jewellery was seamlessly integrated into Patrick McDowell's designs, with pieces of jewellery sewn into the garments, becoming an extension of Patrick's vision.
Behind The Shoot
We drew inspiration from Philpot's iconic portraits for our own model shoot, referencing the jewellery, distinctive poses and floral elements often see in his work.
